POLICIES

ALL CLIENTS are required to fill out an intake form. A credit card is required when booking ALL appointments.

Cancellation/ No Show

We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies will be honored:

  • A minimum of 48 hours notice is required when canceling appointments (if canceling by phone or text it must be made during our regular business hours).
  • Less than 48 hours will result in a $25.00 cancelation fee.         
  • Less than 24 hours notice is given the FULL AMOUNT of your scheduled service will be charged to your card on file.

This advance notice allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. This fee will be charged to your credit card on file without notice. Clients who forget or consciously choose to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged the FULL AMOUNT for their “missed” appointment and will be subjected to lose the privilege of booking in advance.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late (or are not ready at your appointment time), it will result in your session being shortened in order to accommodate the appointments that follow yours. New Clients are required to arrive 10 minutes early. If you arrive 15 minutes or more past your appointment time you will be considered a “no show “ and your appointment will be canceled (you will forgo your appointment). You will be charged for the “FULL AMOUNT” of your scheduled appointment. Please plan accordingly and arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. ALL fees are of monetary value and will be charged to your card on file.

Refunds

Mystic Awakening does not offer refunds on massage services, gift certificates, and/or gift cards.

Massage Contraindications (Times when massage is not beneficial to the client and/or the therapist)

COVID-19 Guidelines will be strictly enforced.

If you answer YES to any of the following your appointment must be rescheduled:

Fever of 99°F or above

Dry Cough

Shortness of breath/Difficulty breathing

Undiagnosed rash

Sore throat

Chills

New loss of taste or smell

Cold/flu like symptoms

You have been directly exposed to someone testing positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days

Sinus infection

Contagious infection

Bronchitis/Pneumonia

Open wounds on the skin or broken bones

The therapist reserves this right regardless if the client is in agreement or not to deny service and rebook session. This is to protect the health of the client and the therapist.

Massage is strictly NON-SEXUAL

Massage sessions are strictly non-sexual in nature and any advancements or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the massage session. Any inappropriate insinuation, joke, gesture, conversation, or request will result in immediate termination of your session. This will result in refusal of any and all services in the future. You will be charged the full service fee regardless of the length of your session. Law enforcement will be notified if deemed appropriate. Virginia state law requires draping at ALL times.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are available for purchase. Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash or gratuities.

Minors

Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Intake form and minor consent form must be completed by parent or legal guardian not the minor.   Consent form must be completed before each appointment. Minors under the age of 17 must have a parent or legal guardian present in the massage room during the entire time of treatment. Minors 17 years of age must have legal guardian in waiting area at all times during the massage session. Massage will be for therapeutic reasons only.

Children are not permitted in studio at anytime.
